- It’s extremely important to stay hydrated. Hydration begins at least 24 hours prior to your time with a Spa Therapist. Massage releases toxins from your muscles. Making sure that you are hydrated when you go into the massage makes it easier for your body to flush out these toxins as quickly and efficiently as possible. Also, well-hydrated muscles are more pliable, which may make it easier for the therapist to break up the toughest knots without causing too much discomfort.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothes. Wearing comfortable clothing is the start of a relaxing mindset. Wear underpants that you don’t mind getting a little massage oil on. All clients leave underwear on for Spa treatments and while we try not get massage oil on them it’s very possible.
- Have a clear idea what you’re hoping to get from your Spa Treatment. Our goal is to maximise your relaxation experience, if you have a particular goal for the treatment — such as tension relief in a particular area or healing support for a specific injury or if there is something you don’t particularly want done — remember to let your therapist know. That way, they can be sure to prioritise any concerns you may have.
- Don’t waste your vibe. If possible, always ty to plan to have down time after your appointment – try not to do anything but relax and absorb the positive vibe from your treatment. We know everyone has a busy schedule but if it’s possible try and schedule your appointment to help.
